Retro rooms: 1960s Lavender Lady Living Room

Thursday is retro decorating day here at Pussycat Magazine. check back next Thursday for another fabulous room from a less-beige era.

The retro room of the day is this lush lavender number from the mid-1960s. The caption reads

"A palette of pinky lilac casts a romantic spell over this living room planned by Shelley Mowell. Every hue and nuance are gathered together in the exotic print that covers the Chippendale sofa. How can we not note the mirrored wall? Isn't it time mirrors made a comeback?

This room really puts a thumb in the eye of those who insist on beige beige beige!
