Sex Kittens from Mars

by Dee Dee

I grew up on sci-fi, watching gun-wielding, ship-flying ladies galavant across the future. I wanted to BE them, clad in high heels and lycra space-age body suits, breaking hearts on distant stars and fighting evil in every corner of the universe. I wanted to seduce and destroy, to rule the kingdoms of Mongo, to gun down storm troopers and live in a fun-fur space ship headed for Sogo. These were tough ladies living the high life perusing amongst the stars. I carried my BattleStar Galactica and Buck Rogers lunchboxes to grade school proud, somehow tougher-- thinking "A-ha! I am tough and foxy and flying through space. Not hopscotching on mere mortal playgrounds with sickly little boys. There is an alliance waiting to fight the Empire at my lead!"

But didn't we all feel that way?
